Hi, I’m Jill!

I’m a award-winning coach, mentor, energy practitioner, author, provocateur, cosmic campfire & more. But before that? I struggled with embracing my feminine energy (& ran myself ragged by pushing so hard). The feminine was a some mystical society that I secretly desired (“sweep me away in my drizzling longing”) & also destained (“how do those girly girls get shit done ?”)

I didn’t know that there was a sensual alter ego within me that connected me to life itself. I didn’t know how to replace self loathing with celebrating exactly the way I am. And my emotional access … yeesh: flat, cut off. But after my first S Factor class in 2019, I learned that being in my unique & truthful feminine expression is real freedom & power, & that within every women is a sizzling bombshell.

That’s why I want to help you experience the same movement practice, empowerment, celebration & witnessing that you need to rediscover the brilliance of your feminine nature. S Factor is the place for radically shifting your relationship with your body & confidently taking up space to create a life you desire.

FAQs

  • S Factor is about the sensual expression of self, not “performing” or "achieving" dance or pole tricks. The practice is for yourself (although you may want to share your movement at some point).

    Pole isn’t offered as part of your S Factor journey here although it is part of the larger family of practices.

    If you're looking for pole instruction, there are great instructors who teach pole as part of S Factor or within the pole fitness community. Let me know if you'd like me to refer you to someone if that's a journey you'd like to take.

  • Absolutely! S Factor is for every woman, no matter your level of experience or movement background.

    We celebrate awkwardness & trepidation here! Just like learning a new language, we might feel a bit klutzy as we start with the words (moves) that turn into sentences (flow between moves), eventually becoming an effortless & intuitive communication (expression of movement).

    As we untangle from cultural messages about the feminine body, our body's also being reshaped from a lifetime of linear movement & frozen musculature. Things will get a bit crunchy at times as we try on new feelings & new ways of moving.

  • Nope! Whether you’re out of shape, recovering from changes, or already active, S Factor meets you exactly where you are.

  • S Factor is for all bodies. Every movement within the practice has multiple variations. If you have an injury or limitation, please let me know ahead of class & I will offer modifications during your practice. At the beginning of every class I also ask about any new injuries so there are multiple opportunities to ensure you have a great practice.

    Part of the practice learning to be kind to yourself, first & foremost, & to listen to your body & respect its limits on any given day. Rest is always available to you & we celebrate your “no”s in this space.

    If at any time during class you feel discomfort or strain, gently come out of the movement. As a student, you are responsible for your own practice & so you must make choices that reflect what works best for you on any given day.

  • That’s completely normal. S Factor creates a judgment-free space where you can explore at your own pace.

    If you have a known history of trauma or sexual abuse that hasn’t been addressed with a mental health professional, consider working with a trauma-informed therapist & go gently & slowly into embodiment work.

  • To ensure a healthy and fun space for all group participants, we ask that students with a known trauma (especially if not yet addressed with a mental health support) go gently into embodiment work and simultaneously work with a trauma-informed therapist.

    Unknown trauma can arise when working with the body, and we ask that should this happen you seek outside help and support.

    This a movement practice centered on feminine embodiment, and does not provide psychological or mental health services.

    Each student will be asked to sign an accountability waiver that affirms personal responsibility and commits to the wellbeing of the entire student group through maintaining personal emotional boundaries.

  • The movement that we're going to be doing here can be very personal and your privacy is really important. We will never record classes and ask that you do not record video, take any pictures or screenshots of any kind while you’re in class.

    If you want to catch up on what you’ve missed, please connect with your instructor and fellow students.

    • You’re offended by explicit music or conversations about sexuality, sensuality, or culturally taboo topics.

    • You’re uncomfortable touching your body with your hands while fully clothed.

    • You’re resistant to personal responsibility and stepping out of your comfort zone, or looking for a quick fix

    • You have a known history of trauma or sexual abuse that hasn’t been addressed with the support of a mental health professional. You may want to consider working with a trauma-informed therapist concurrently and we ask that you go gently & slowly into embodiment work.
